Arrival

We expect that most delegates arrive to Tallinn airport. Alternatives include ferry from Helsinki or Stockholm, or train from Russia. There is no reasonable train connection to central Europe.

From Tallinn, the venue can be reached by local buses (detailed information below) and taxi. We are planning to arrange a special bus from the airport on the day of arrival, and a bus to the airport on the day of departure. On June 06, the bus will depart from Tallinn airport at 14:45 and from Tallinn city centre at 15:00. Detailed information below:

On Monday, June 06,

at 14:45 – our bus will depart from Tallinn airport (bus stop next to tram stop, N end of the airport, coordinates 59.41820N, 24.79889).

at 15:00 – the bus will depart from Tallinn city centre (next to Centre of Russian culture (Vene Kultuurikeskus), address Mere puiestee 5, coordinates 59.43849N, 24.75363E).

The bus will have appropriate information on the windshield.

A local person, our colleague Robin Gielen will be with you, his phone number is +372 53859902, call him if you are little late or little lost.

Call Toomas Tammaru +372 5252420 if totally lost!

The programme will not begin before 17.00 (5 p.m.) so you can plan arriving to Tallinn in the first half of the day on Monday, June 06. You can plan to depart from Tallinn early on Saturday morning if you wish so, we will organize transport to catch those early flights.

See here (a home-made pdf) for information about buses from Tallinn to Laulasmaa and back (full information on the webpage). Those suburban buses stop at every 120 m and so it takes an hour to reach Laulasmaa. Tickets can be bought from the driver in cash (two-point-something EUR).

From Tallinn, taxi to Laulasmaa will cost about 50 EUR. Ordinary taxis should be readily available at the airport and in city centre  but you may also order if you wish (here or here).
